Dear Dr. Harding,

I received your letter with a mix of concern and intrigue. Your words, laden with an undeniable urgency, have not fallen on deaf ears. Your description of the tome and the haunting dreams that followed are indeed troubling.

The name you mention, "Cthulhu", is not unfamiliar to me. While researching ancient myths for a past case, I encountered references to such a being. However, I had dismissed them as mere folk tales, the product of overactive imaginations. The possibility of their basis in truth is, to say the least, disturbing.

You must know that the path you are treading is fraught with perils. I can only hope that we are not too late in addressing this...curse. While I am not sure what help I can provide, I refuse to abandon a dear friend in need. I have cleared my schedule and will be on the train to Arkham on the 20th.

In the meantime, I suggest you maintain a diary of your experiences and dreams. Any detail, no matter how minute, could prove crucial to our understanding of this situation. I am also forwarding this information to a certain Professor Armitage at Miskatonic University. I believe he may provide some much-needed insight into the contents of the Pnakotic Manuscripts.

Remember, Cornelius, you are not alone in this. We shall face whatever lies ahead together.

Yours in solidarity,

Andrew Fate
